Extended Access

Did you know you can now book GP Appointments in Mid Nottinghamshire on evenings and weekends?

All GP Surgeries across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood can now offer evening and weekend routine GP appointments.  These appointments are available to all residents who are registered with a GP Practice in Mid Nottinghamshire.

The appointment may not take place at your usual GP surgery, but at another nearby. Your GP surgery will be able to provide you with more information about the location at the time of booking an appointment.  Here is a list of the GP Surgeries in your area.  Please click on the name of surgery that the receptionist provided you with for further information and directions including any parking information.

Appointments are available up to 8pm on a weekday, Saturdays mornings and Sundays from 9am – 1pm.

Please note Sunday appointments are currently only available at Forest Medical Practice, Rosemary Street Health Centre, NG19 6AB. This is located just off Chesterfield Road very close to the Civic Centre with free car parking available. There is a pharmacy next to the surgery, which is open until 10pm 7 days per week. The surgery is accredited as Dementia friendly, has disability access and is within easy reach of the town centre.  We are currently working with partners to look at possibilities in Newark and further information will be available on our websites shortly.

Please note that these appointments are for non-emergencies and are pre-bookable only.

If you find that you no longer need your appointment please cancel it so that these can be offered to other patients.

For further information please speak to your GP Surgery.  A frequently asked questions information sheet has been produced in partnership with some of our practice managers and GPs and can be found here.  A Patient Information Leaflet has also been produced which can be found here
